Barouche is a strategically engaging trick-taking card game that has garnered popularity in various communities across the globe. Played with a modified standard deck from which the 2s, 3s, and 4s are removed, Barouche accommodates four players divided into two teams, with partners seated opposite one another.

At the onset of the game, each player is dealt nine cards, while an additional four cards are placed face-up in the widow at the center of the table. The bidding process begins at 30, where players compete for the opportunity to designate a trump suit. The highest bidder exchanges cards with the widow before leading with a trump card.

In the subsequent tricks phase, the ranking of cards is as follows: Aces are valued as high cards, while 5s hold a worth of five points. Additionally, both 10s and Aces are valued at ten points, whereas all other cards carry no point value. It is imperative for the team of the high bidder to achieve or surpass their initial bid in order to succeed in the game.
